About J-Brit

J-Brit is a new online community for all things relating to Japanese culture in the UK.

There are two main areas that you can interact with the site - by adding content, or participating in the forums. Both of with form the core of the J-Brit functionality

How do I contribute?

It's really easy to create content for the site.

1. Create an account / Login
2. Click 'Create Article' or 'Add Photos' from the user menu thingy
3. Create your article or upload your photos
4. When you're happy with it, submit it for review by the editors
5. Sit back and wait. You get notified when your article appears on the site

Editors check for spelling, bias and quality of content. We do not want flame wars, porn, adverts, spam etc!!

Please report all problems with the site. We use a ton of javascript, so for the best user experience get Firefox, use at least 1024x768 resolution, and make sure that javascript is enabled.

Do not complain if your PII running A0L doesn't work with the site!!!

Did we use Drupal or Joomla? No. Should we have done? Probably...but then again hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Advertising

At the moment, we use Google Adsense to feed the adverts throughout the site - however we will soon be incorperating a bespoke system that allows advertisers to add their own banners and adverts. Please contact us if you wish to be notified of when this system is in place.
